Nifty Above 24,600, Sensex up 70 Points; IT, Metals in Green

The Indian benchmark indices are trading in green in today’s trading session. Nifty is up by 0.060% at 24,633.65, while Sensex is trading at 81,577.61, up 0.085%.

Among the gainers, IT and metals are reporting significant gains. Shares of LTI Mindtree, Wipro and Infosys are up 3.54%, 2.02% and 1.58% respectively. Waaree Energies is up by 5% after securing 1 GW solar PV module order. Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports and Dr Reddy's Labs are in red.

Oil prices slipped on Tuesday following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad-led government in Syria. Brent crude futures were down by 0.4%, at $71.82 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell by 0.5% at $68 at 04:58 GMT.
